Why Now?

Why is now the time to act to create a fairer more sustainable world?

We have seen that governing officials can act when they have to because they have acted to protect the health of the public and protect the economy.

This shows that when they want to act they do.

We have also seen that we - as individuals and societies are adaptable. Our world has changed so much in the last 9 months. Our behavior has changed because it had to.

This shows that change is possible. It's a cause for optimism. We can have faith that it is possible because we have seen that rapid change is. Now we must use this knowledge to fight to create a world that is fairer and more sustainable. It won't be easy but we have been given an opportunity and we mustn't waste it.
